Convert Word to PDF

Drop a .docx and every line is drawn by your own browser's font engine, the one that knows how Arabic letters join and where a number sits inside a sentence. You get a PDF that looks like your document, and whose text can still be selected, copied and searched.

Frequently asked questions

Can I still select and search the text?

Yes. Each page is drawn by your browser's font engine, then the same words are written over it in an invisible layer, so Ctrl+F finds them and a copy gives you real text.

Why does Arabic come out right here?

Because Arabic letters are shaped and joined by a font engine, not by a PDF library. We draw each line with the browser itself, the same engine painting this page for you now.

What does not carry over?

Headers and footers, footnotes, text boxes, multi-column sections and comments. Paragraphs, headings, lists, simple tables and images all do.

Is my file uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is opened and converted on your own device and never leaves the browser. Close the tab and nothing of it remains.

Does it take the old .doc format?

No, only .docx, the format Word has written since 2007. Open a .doc in Word, save it again as .docx, and it will convert.
