Frequently asked questions

Is this a certified digital signature?

No. This places an image of your signature on the page, exactly as if you had signed on paper and scanned it. It is not a certificate-backed digital signature, so if an organisation requires one, use the platform they specify.

Can someone remove the signature afterwards?

The signature becomes part of the page content, but any capable PDF editor can modify any file. If you want to restrict editing, add a password with the Protect PDF tool.

Is my signature or file uploaded anywhere?

No. You draw in the browser and the signature is placed on the file on your own device, and none of it reaches us. The only thing ever kept is a signature you press Keep on this device for, which stays in your browser alone and can be deleted whenever you like.

Can I reuse my signature without drawing it again?

Yes. After you draw it, press Keep on this device, and it waits at the top of the tool every time you open it in the same browser, ready in one tap. You can keep three, each with its own delete button beside it. Nothing is kept unless you press that button yourself, so merely using a signature never saves it.

Can I sign every page at once?

Yes. Choose all pages, or give a range like 1-3 if you only want certain pages.
