When Khallas is the better choice

When the document is sensitive. A payslip, a bank statement, a contract, an employee file: none of these need to pass through a third party just to be merged or compressed. Here they are not uploaded at all, and that is a consequence of how the tool is built rather than a promise in a privacy policy.

When the document is Arabic and the details matter: a watermark whose letters connect correctly, page numbers in Arabic-Indic digits, extracted text that comes out in the right right-to-left order.

When another tool is the better choice

If you need a Word file that mirrors the page design with its images, or a spreadsheet read from a table's ruled borders rather than from the gaps between its columns, or PowerPoint slides with editable text boxes rather than page images. Ours carries the text and where it sat rather than the design, and theirs goes further.

If you need a certificate-backed digital signature, or editing of the original text in the document's own font. If you work with very large files on a weak device. Because processing runs on your machine, your machine is the limit. A tool that uploads to a strong server will handle that more reliably.

If you need direct integration with Google Drive and Dropbox, or an app from an app store specifically. Working offline is no longer a reason to leave: save a copy and install the site to your home screen.

Every tool is free with no account. Two ceilings exist today: a batch run handles up to three files at a time, and OCR reads up to 20 pages in one run. Merging itself has no cap on the number of files.

Is your PDF to Word conversion faithful to the original?

No. What comes across is the text: paragraphs, headings, right-to-left direction and page breaks, in a docx you edit in Word. Tables, images, columns and the page design do not, because mirroring a layout needs server-side processing and therefore uploading your file. We chose to keep the file on your device and to name what is missing rather than claim a faithful conversion.
